Let me ask you something—are you truly reaching your goals? Are you feeling mentally strong and physically capable… or just pushing through, hoping things will change?
If the answer is no, then listen closely. Your breakthrough doesn’t start with another workout or a stricter diet—it starts with your mental health. That’s your foundation. That’s your power.
Don’t wait until your back is against the wall. And when I say that, I mean don’t wait until you’re burned out, overwhelmed, or dealing with illness before you decide to take care of yourself. Be proactive. Stay ahead of the game. Future you will thank you for it.
📽️ If you’re pushing more than progressing, watch now!
Research shows that stress interferes with your ability to stay consistent, recover properly, and even think clearly to make healthy choices. On the flip side, when your mental health is supported, your body responds better. You regulate stress more effectively, your recovery improves, and you achieve your goals.
That’s why you can be doing everything “right” on paper and still feel stuck. Your body isn’t just responding to your workouts or diet. It’s responding to your mental state.
So no, you’re not broken. You’re just trying to build on a shaky foundation.
Your breakthrough doesn’t start with another workout or a stricter diet. You need to take care of your mental health first, because that’s the foundation you build strength on.
I always say: get your mind right, and your body will follow 🧘♀️
If you’re ready to reset and realign, start here:
💪 Move your body daily—even if it’s just a walk
🌿 Get outside and reconnect with nature
🫁 Slow down your breathing—deep, intentional breaths
😴 Prioritize quality sleep like your life depends on it (because it does)
✍️ Journal your thoughts—release what you’ve been holding in
These are all powerful habits that help rebuild you from the inside out.
Protect your mental energy so your body can perform at its best.
Take care of YOU now… before life forces you to. 💜
The missing piece in your progress is probably not be in the gym… or even on your plate. It might be in your mind.
The Bottom Line Here Is to Protect Your Energy
When your body is strong, you’ll find your mind performs differently. You show up differently. Live differently. So take care of YOU now before life forces you. You deserve to feel good now and not when things settle down.
Strong mind. Strong body. Strong life. No waiting required.

Have you ever had those days when your body just feels…off? Not sick. Not injured. Just a little more tired, a little more stiff, and maybe not bouncing back the way it used to?
And is your motivation lacking even for something as simple as taking a walk?
If so, the cause could be inflammaging. It’s what many of us experience as we get older.
Inflammaging is what it sounds like: Inflammation in your body that accelerates your aging process.
If you are experiencing inflammaging, basically, what happens is your body has ongoing, low-level inflammation that never goes away. What makes inflammaging so dangerous is that it is low-level, and most people don’t notice it happening in their bodies.
One of the key symptoms of inflammaging? Feeling rundown with low energy and low motivation. 😓
Often, when I meet with a client for the first time, they hold a lot of guilt about their lack of motivation. Some even engage in negative self-talk, calling themselves “lazy” or a “couch potato.”
Just know that your body is a complicated machine, and issues in one area can impact another so no need to beat up on yourself.
What’s worse is that low-level inflammation over time causes serious damage to your body and can contribute to health issues like:
- Type 2 Diabetes
- Dementia
- Osteoporosis
- Bone Loss
- Muscle Weakening
Fortunately, researchers have also found ways that you can start fighting inflammaging right now:
🫘 Eat more legumes like lentils, chickpeas, and black beans
🌿 Spend time gardening and getting your hands in the soil
🍫 Enjoy a little dark chocolate (70%+ cocoa)
💧 Keep your skin barrier healthy with daily moisturizing
🍅 Sip tomato juice for lycopene support
💊 Consider targeted anti-inflammatory supplements like CoQ10
CoQ10 supports cellular energy and heart health, and is one I often discuss with clients who are looking for ways to support their bodies as they age.
I take these and other supplements daily to give my body a healthy youthful glow inside and out.
To learn more about some of the supplements I take, send me an email and I’ll share them with you. I’ll also help you customize other supplements that may be necessary for YOUR body – ones that will help you live longer, age healthier, and give you more energy.
Here’s what I want you to remember. The body responds to consistency!
You don’t have to overhaul your entire life overnight. Small choices like what you eat, how you move, and how you care for yourself can really add up over time.
That’s exactly how I have stayed strong, energized, and active. Not through extreme measures, but through daily habits that support my body and mind.
And the beautiful thing is, you can start those habits today!
IT’S REALLY EASY… MAKE A VOW… TO FIND OUT HOW… YOU CAN GET STARTED ON YOUR HEALTH JOURNEY… NOW!

I don’t think it is a coincidence that Black History Month and Valentine’s Day both fall in February. In what may be the coldest month of the year, Vitamin L (love ) will keep us warm. ❤️ It is the ultimate nutrient for your body.
February always gets us thinking about love, but I want to share something with you that goes so much deeper than flowers and cards. Love, and I’m talking about real, grounded, everyday love, has a powerful effect on your health. And I’ve seen it play out in my own life and in the lives of the women I work with.
I’m not talking about romance alone, either. I’m talking about connection. Affection. Support. And of course, self-love.
What Love Does to the Body
When you experience real love and connection, your body responds in ways that are truly healing. Stress hormones drop. Oxytocin, the hormone that helps you feel calm, safe, and connected, rises. Your heart benefits, and your nervous system settles. Your body feels supported instead of being in a constant state of fight-or-flight.
I’ve watched people come into my programs feeling tense, tired, and disconnected from their bodies and themselves. As they begin to reconnect, not just physically but emotionally, everything starts to shift. Energy improves. Confidence returns. Bodies respond.
Maybe you’re carrying tension you can’t quite explain. Tight shoulders, achy joints, lingering discomfort that never goes away. When the nervous system calms, pain often softens with it. I’ve seen this again and again.
Love isn’t soft. It’s stabilizing.
Affection Is Restorative and Not Indulgent
Physical affection, emotional closeness, and even simple gestures of kindness toward yourself send signals of safety through your body. This is especially true when you’re navigating stress, hormonal changes, or chronic aches that seem louder than they used to be. Your body listens to how you treat it.
When you nurture a real connection, you’re giving your immune system, hormones, and mental well-being that positive boost it needs. No, it isn’t fluff. It’s biology! When your body isn’t stuck in constant stress mode, it can focus on repair, balance, and protection.
Make Loving Yourself a Daily Practice
Self-love isn’t a bubble bath or a few motivational quotes. It’s how you speak to yourself. It’s how you move your body. It’s how you fuel it. Choose habits that support your vitality instead of draining it. Not perfection but consistency. Not pressure but presence.
The Kind of Love That Changes Everything
I want you to remember that your body truly thrives when it’s cared for. Loved. Supported. When you lead your life from this positive place, you don’t just feel better. You show up better.
And you deserve that kind of love. Today, and always.

Happy New Year!
I LOVE this time of year because. I get to reset and refresh after all the holiday craziness. It’s a great time to assess what’s working for me and what could use some improvement.
So yay, the holidays are officially behind us. You might even already have the decorations packed away, the leftovers are gone, and the reality has gently (or not so gently) returned.
If your body feels a bit sluggish, your routine feels off, or your mind feels cluttered, you’re definitely not alone. But here’s the good news! This season isn’t about “starting over.” It’s about resetting with intention.
I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions. I feel they are too rigid and short-lived. Instead, I believe in setting meaningful goals that support your lifestyle and help you build lasting health, mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Recovering From the Holidays, Gently
The holidays certainly can take a toll. Those late nights, heavy meals, less movement, and packed schedules. They all add up. January is your chance to bring your body back into balance without any extremes or guilt.
Recovery means:
- Reestablishing those nourishing routines
- Moving your body in ways that feel good
- Supporting your digestion, sleep, and energy
- Giving your mind some space to breathe again
This isn’t about punishment or making up for anything either. It’s more about reconnecting with what makes you feel strong, clear, and confident.
Setting Goals That Actually Stick
Looking to get back into shape? Don’t worry about chasing after perfection. Set realistic, flexible goals that fit nicely into your life. Goals can give you direction without pressure and allow room for growth, adjustments, and progress. Avoid the burnout. When your goals support your lifestyle, consistency becomes natural, and results will follow.
The focus this new year is simple: Feel better. Move better. Live better.

I hope you’re out there soaking up the season, because I am over here jinglin’, minglin’, and giving Mariah Carey a little competition on those high notes!
And let me tell you—these winter holidays came in HOT, and so did I after my last workout! Whew, chile! ️
So while I cool down, let me drop a little truth in your holiday stocking…
Your HEALTH is the real holiday magic.
It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
Watch this and I’ll tell you why
Here’s what I know for sure:
- When your body feels good, your HOPE gets louder
- When your energy rises, your JOY hits differently
- When you take care of YOU, life opens up again
Now listen—we are stepping into a whole new year, and it’s time to talk about what actually works for your health.
2026 is NOT about “new year, new me.”
Been there. Done that. Tossed that t-shirt in the donation bin.
Let’s ditch the resolutions once and for all and get real.
2026 is about YOU coming home to yourself.
You don’t need to reinvent who you are in 2026 or any other year.
You need to reconnect with the YOU that’s been carrying you all along.
- The YOU who still feels alive
- The YOU who still dreams big
- The YOU who kept moving through every difficult day of 2025
Because when you reconnect with THAT version of yourself, something beautiful happens—
You don’t just feel alive… you feel guided. Anchored. Empowered.
And remember—purpose doesn’t always show up with trumpets and fireworks.
Most of the time, it slips in quietly through the everyday moments:
- Taking a walk because your soul needed fresh air
- Picking up a hobby you forgot you loved
- Saying “no” with no apology attached
- Learning something new because it lights you up
- Helping someone because kindness feeds YOU, too
And let me remind you of this truth: Nobody thrives alone.
Yes, you are strong. Yes, you can do hard things.
But community? Support? Connection?
That’s what keeps you grounded, motivated, and growing.
That’s exactly why I host my Thursday night Zoom sessions—
because you deserve a place to feel supported, understood, and lifted higher.
You grow stronger when someone is walking beside you… and baby, I’m right here.
So if you want 2026 to feel more purposeful, peaceful, powerful—and FUN— come join us!

Let’s go deeper. How are your workouts coming along. Yes I wanna know because I can help with that you know. Are you nourishing your body properly in order to reach your fitness goals? Just checking. I can help with that too.
Lately, I’ve been in love with my Saturday morning routine. I warm up, hit the beach for a run, and spend my day feeling amazing.
️Check out my full routine here: https://youtube.com/shorts/CtwCgDcCE_U?si=ogK_2gl_KX2tIL93
Finding your healthy routine doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need fancy equipment or a strict schedule. Start with what makes you happy.
I love putting on a playlist and taking a walk in my neighborhood. Sometimes I dance in my living room. When I’m feeling social, I will do a class tai chi and qi gong. These don’t just train my body, they train my mind and spirit too ✨
For me, the best workouts help me breathe deeper, move freely, and reset my energy. I eat a healthy balance of protein and carbs afterwards to keep my energy high and help my body recover. Then a little meditation to release my stress and anxiety, and I’m golden.
Simple but so effective.
What matters is dedication and consistency. Two traits that I see in people I admire most, like our veterans. If you’ve worn the uniform, I want to take a moment to thank you for your service and wish you a Happy Veteran’s Day. My father served, and he taught me to keep showing up even when it’s hard.
Thank you for showing up, especially when it is hard.
With Thanksgiving around the corner, I’m bringing that same energy. I’m not letting the holidays knock me off track.
You can enjoy yourself and still stay dedicated to your goals. Don’t skip the celebrations, just the extra helpings.
It’s easy to let routines slide this time of year, but your progress doesn’t have to pause.
You can get a boost of motivation and information at my weekly ZOOM Coaching and also an Opportunity to be part of my business.
I’m looking for 5-10 people who want to diversify their income or make a few extra bucks and potentially earn $500-$2000 monthly working part-time, with flexible hours, working from home or office and training is provided.
I can also help you…
✅ Lose weight | gain weight | feel better | look better
✅ Improve strength | improve overall nutrition
✅ Connect with a like-minded community
So, no worries…I’ll help you stay on routine no matter what the holidays bring.

October is always an important month for me. While most people think of Halloween, October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which hits close to home.
Years ago, I was trapped in a cycle of abuse that nearly cost me everything. It took courage to walk away, and even more courage to rebuild myself from the ground up. I share more of that journey in my book Unbreak Me. Inside, I also offer the exact tools I used to overcome trauma and rediscover my strength.
Today, what I want you to know is this:
No matter what you’ve been through, healing is possible.
When I finally broke free, the road ahead felt impossible. I didn’t become the woman I am today overnight.
It was small, consistent lifestyle changes that led to my transformation. Moving my body a little every day, nourishing myself with better food, practicing gratitude, and learning to shift my mindset. Those small changes added up.
Piece by piece, I built back my confidence, my energy, and my joy. That’s why I always say:
Small steps, taken daily, create BIG changes.
To give you a peek at how I keep myself moving, I’ll share how I work out anywhere, whether I’m outside, in the gym, or even in front of the TV.
️Watch the video now ️
You don’t need the perfect space or perfect routine. You just need creativity and consistency.
These are exactly the kinds of practical, real-life tips I share every single week in my free Thursday group coaching sessions on Zoom.
Every Thursday, you can connect with me live, ask your questions, and learn simple strategies to improve your mindset, fitness, and overall wellness.
I keep it real, I keep it fun, and most importantly, I keep it about transforming your life.
If you haven’t joined me yet, I’d love to see your face there.

There is always a reason for the season and Halloween is the time of year when people play with shadows and celebrate transformation.
I think it’s the perfect symbol for healing from Domestic Violence:
You face the dark, you acknowledge the fear, and then you find light and laughter again.

When was the last time you opened your eyes and just laid there in bed feeling unmotivated and in a funk?
I get it, I’ve been there, and there is only one solution.
My advice? Don’t let the day escape you by scrolling the day away on your phone.
You gotta get up and get moving!
It doesn’t take a major lifestyle overhaul to start your day in a healthy way. Know what I do?
I take a morning walk around my neighborhood.
It’s easy. No expensive gym membership, no fancy gear, no excuses. Just open the door, step outside, and let your body thank you for showing up.
September is my favorite time to start my days with a morning walk. The air feels fresh, the morning light is beautiful, and each step fills me with gratitude for another day of healthy living.
Join me on my morning walk here.
Walking isn’t just a great way to start your day off on the right foot. Research shows some SERIOUS health benefits to walking:
- Lowers hypertension risk
- Supports cognitive health
- Reduces Type 2 diabetes risk
- Lowers all-cause mortality
- Decreases respiratory disease risk
- Improves bone and musculoskeletal health
- Improves cardiovascular health
- Supports healthy weight
- Improves sleep quality
- Extends longevity
PHEW! Pretty amazing list of benefits for something as simple as walking, right?
Now, if these health benefits aren’t enough to get you to lace up your walking shoes, let me share the secret that keeps me motivated on my morning walks…
I have a blast!
When I’m out on my morning walk, I chat with my neighbors, listen to my favorite music, and always take the scenic route. They’re my favorite part of the day.
Walking is just one of the ways I mix up my cardio, so it never feels boring, because healthy movement is not just about exercise. It’s about living a healthy and happy life.
Another way I stay motivated is by making sure I fuel my walks with healthy nutrition and a positive mindset.
I have developed a lot of everyday strategies that are simple but will transform your life. I share these every week on my Thursday Zoom calls. If you’ve been searching for a way to feel good again, these weekly calls are for you.
✨ Click here to sign up now and join me this Thursday. You’ll learn how to walk, eat, and live your way to a longer, happier life.

Feeling rundown? I’ve got the perfect elixir to pick you right back up!
I just wrapped up a full, active day, and now I’m ready for something cool, refreshing and healthy.
A lot of you have been asking what I eat (and drink!) to stay strong, steady, and glowing on busy days like today. Here’s what’s in my glass when I need a reset and a little boost:
It is resilience made delicious. I drink this to support my joint health, reduce inflammation, and give me the energy I need to do what I love.
Fueling myself with the proper nutrition means I get to enjoy my days, not just get through them, and that’s what living life is all about. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be yours.
Wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it’s never too late to begin again. So here’s a happy reminder for your day: you have the power to feel good, dream big, and live well.
Cheers to wellness!

Can you believe it? We’re already halfway through the year. This means it’s the perfect time for a midyear check-up–not just for your health, but for your goals, dreams, and daily habits.
I am definitely on track to achieving my goals. In fact I’m celebrating now and about to jump in the pool.
So, how are you doing? Are you cruising along or hitting a few bumps in the road?
Are you still on track?
If you’re still going strong, I’m proud of you, keep doing what you’re doing because it’s working!
If you’ve let your New Year’s goals slip, no big deal. You can pick right back up where you left off.
No matter where you are right now, think about why you started in the first place. You made those goals for a reason. Staying active isn’t just about checking off boxes. It’s about feeling good in your body, waking up with more energy, and knowing you’re doing something for your heart, soul, mind, and body.
Now, if you’ve always fallen short on your New Year’s goals, you may need some assistance with getting back on track permanently. You don’t want to take the reactive approach to health and fitness. That is…waiting until you have an issue before you start making the right choices.
What I recommend instead is taking a proactive approach to stay ahead of the game.
I always say, “Keep up so you don’t have to catch up.”
I follow my own advice every single day. Staying proactive about my health is how I get to enjoy the things I love and live free of regret. I work out, I eat right, and I care for my mental and spiritual health.
I believe “it’s not how long you live. It’s how well you live”. You can live well at every age.

You could be just like him, you just have to make the choice. If you’ve been hearing that little voice in your gut nudging you to get moving again, listen! Your inner voice is your inner wisdom. You’re not done yet. Not even close. You still have six months left to achieve your 2025 goals!
So here’s your reminder:
- Dance
- Walk
- Swim
- Laugh
- Lift
- Stretch
- Join a group of like-minded people
- Get nutrition guidance to achieve weight loss goals
Whatever it is, get at it! You’ve come too far to slow down now.
Midyear is the perfect time to refocus and re-energize your goals. If you need a little support, I’ve got your back.
THE GOOD NEWS IS, and I’m really excited about this. I just partnered with a global nutrition company that’s focused on helping people lose weight, gain weight, feel better, look better or just improve their overall health and wellbeing and I CAN’T WAIT to tell you about it.
Stay tuned for more on that later!

It’s my favorite time of year! Happy birthday to me on May 3rd but as usual I’m celebrating all month long.
I remember one year when I said I was celebrating my birthday all month long someone responded and said that’s so selfish. What?
I wanted to say, “No way Jose!”. Absolutely not! I feel blessed to be here and that is worthy of celebrating not only the month of May but all year long.
I also remember hearing over the years from different people how when they were turning 40, 50, and 60 or more they were dreading it and feeling old.
I responded to them by saying, “You should be thankful that you get to reach that age because it doesn’t have to be so and there are many others who weren’t lucky enough to get to those ages.”
My message is this: Rejoice with every year around the sun and make each day fulfilling and be glad in it.
May has always been my favorite month, but not just because it’s my birthday, but because my Mom’s birthday is the day after mine and Mother’s Day follows that. It makes me miss my mom all the time, but I know I can honor her by living the best life with the life she gave me.
In addition, there’s Memorial Day. So, I like to honor and celebrate all the brave men and women who sacrificed everything for this country, including my veteran Father.
So I plan to celebrate all these happenings during the month of May with you in mind.
Remember those intentions you set at the start of the year? How’s it going? If they’ve slipped lately, I got you!
Listen, life happens. Family dramas, work stress, health events, and unexpected curveballs knock you off your game. You’re not lazy, you’re not a failure, and it’s never too late! Sometimes, what feels like a slump is just a sign you need support.
You need the expert guidance, real structure, and the kind of steady, no-nonsense discipline that only a “Taurus the Bull” like me can bring. That’s why I’m giving you a special birthday month offer all month long:

20% off ALL my online fitness programs through May 31
Whether you’re just starting or restarting, for the whole month of May, you’ll get 20% off all my programs, including:
- Take Back Your Fabulous 31-day Challenge
- Take Back Your Life Success Bundle
- Take Back Your Life 8-Week Breakthrough System
- Take Back Your Life 16-Week Program
If you are interested in private coaching, please send me an email and I will contact you and make some birthday adjustments as well.
I truly believe the only way to give those around you the best version of yourself is to BECOME the best version of yourself, and it takes self-care AND mental fortitude to do so! I will show you how to take care of your mind, body, and soul so you can live the fabulous, healthy life that is meant for you!
Make this May a turning point in your life. Not just to celebrate my birthday (though you know I love a good party) but because you deserve to feel strong, radiant, and in control. I understand how life can knock you off course, but there’s no reason why you can’t get back on track! And I would love to be part of helping you do that.
Start by meditating on what is really important to you.
Then DECIDE how bad you want it.
What would help you take back the reins on your life?
There’s only one person who can take those steps to help you bloom from within, and that person is you!
Dig deep, find the action hero within you, and proceed with intention.
Most importantly, here’s to you reinventing, rebuilding, and really living this month and the rest of this year.
