Are you excited to kick off another fabulous year? I know I am!  I’ve got so many plans and exciting things in store for myself. I’m just feeling blessed and highly favored right now.

With the holidays officially behind us – how did you make out? 

Did you stay on track? Did you slip up a bit? Did the stress get to be too much sometimes? No matter what your answers are – it’s OK! It’s a NEW Year, and that means it’s time to get back on track moving your way back toward the NEW you!! 

Let your inner attack dog out NOW and get ready to conquer 2024.

It’ll be hard work, but who’s afraid of that wolf? Not ME. Are you?
It’ll require a plan and some dedication. I can do that. Can you?
It will get you what you want. Would you like that? I LOVE that!  

This is the time of year when so many folks start setting “New Year’s Resolutions”. I am NOT a big fan!

I say this every year: RESOLUTIONS DON’T WORK! 

In fact, 91% of people will not achieve their New Year’s resolutions. It’s not because 91% of people are incapable of achieving goals. No. It is because resolutions set you up for failure. 

You go into it with the best of intentions, but most resolutions don’t even make it past the first quarter of the year.

Some people shoot for too big of a resolution that is just impossible to reach or they make a resolution but have no intention of following through because they are not ready for a change.

As a Lifestyle and Fitness Coach, I watch people go through this cycle over and over every year. Stop making resolutions!

If you want to see REAL results, if you want a REAL change, set goals and make it a lifestyle change. GOALS NOT RESOLUTIONS will help to fix a toxic mindset, bad habits, and unhealthy patterns for good. 

Change doesn’t happen instantly; it happens when you make small decisions every day that build over time into success.

It’s not about making the most of 2024 – it’s about making the most of your LIFE!

Here is what I always recommend to support post-holiday physical recovery:

  • Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated
  • Replenish your nutrients by eating plenty of fresh produce
  • Build back to a healthy fitness routine by doing low-impact exercise
  • Practice yoga, meditation, or mindfulness to help emotionally recover
  • Give yourself an extra few hours of sleep each night to catch up on what you lost

Rather than going through another year of resolutions that won’t stick, make a real commitment to your health.
